A 105/A 105M
The forged carbon steel piping components manufactured under the
A 105 steel specification and are used in pressure systems operating at
Ambient- and higher-temperatures. Included are flanges, fittings, valves,
and similar parts ordered either to dimensions specified by the purchaser
or to dimensional standards such as the MSS, ASME, and API specifications
referenced in Section.

- => The sum of copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni) and molybdenum(Mo) should not exceed 1,00%
- => The sum of chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo) should not Exceed 0,32%
-
=> For each reduction of 0.01 % below the specified carbon maximum (0.35 %), an increase of 0.06 % manganese above the specified Maximum (1.05 %) will be permitted up to a maximum of 1.65 %.
-
=> Determine the carbon equivalent (CE) as follows:
CE = C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15
